VA Works – Staples Mill Boardroom
The Vision
VA Works set out to equip their new Staples Mill Boardroom with a dependable, easy-to-use AV system designed to support both in-person and remote collaboration. The system needed to deliver clear audio coverage, high-quality video conferencing, and simple connectivity for presenters—whether connected at the podium or wirelessly from anywhere in the room. Multiple displays throughout the space would allow for consistent viewing for all participants, while integrated microphones and speakers would ensure speech clarity during discussions. Flexibility for future upgrades, straightforward system control, and the ability to handle larger meetings with enhanced camera and display capabilities were important parts of the vision.
The Solution
To meet these needs, Code3AV designed and proposed a boardroom AV system built around clarity, reliability, and user-friendly operation. The solution includes podium and wireless connection options for presenting and video conferencing, integration with multiple wall-mounted displays, and a ceiling speaker and microphone system optimized for speech reinforcement. Camera control and automatic switching provide dynamic views for remote participants, while a touch panel interface offers easy access to essential functions such as source selection, volume control, and camera positioning. The design also incorporates flexibility for optional enhancements, including AV-over-IP distribution for independent display routing, additional camera coverage for audience views, and expanded microphone coverage. Together, these elements create a system that supports VA Works’ current conferencing needs while allowing for future scalability.
