VA Housing Development Authority – Henrico Divisible Rooms
The Vision
VHDA needed a modern, unified AV solution that could intelligently adapt to their evolving conferencing needs. They had a large room that could be divided into three sections and needed to operate independently or as one space at a moment’s notice. Their vision called for seamless integration with Webex for video conferencing, strong and consistent audio coverage throughout flexible room layouts, and the ability to combine or divide spaces without the need for manual rewiring or technical intervention. Ease of use, scalability, and a high-quality experience for both in-person and remote participants were essential to creating a future-ready solution that would elevate collaboration across their organization.
The Solution
To bring VHDA’s vision to life, Code3AV engineered a customized AV solution focused on flexibility, high performance, and intuitive control. At its core is an advanced Cisco Webex video conferencing system, enhanced by dual PTZ cameras with intelligent preset switching and a dedicated Cisco Navigator touch panel installed alongside the existing Crestron interface. This configuration ensures a seamless, engaging experience for both in-room and remote participants. For audio clarity across the divisible space, Code3AV implemented a hybrid microphone strategy featuring six ceiling array microphones and a wireless Shure conferencing system at the boardroom table. These elements work in harmony with a Biamp Tesira DSP, delivering crystal-clear sound with echo cancellation and automated microphone switching. To support flexible room use, Crestron NVX encoder/decoders integrate with the existing AV-over-IP system, while ClickShare wireless gateways provide easy, device-agnostic content sharing. Whether used individually or combined, the rooms now support a fully scalable and user-friendly meeting experience that adapts to VHDA’s needs in real time.
